This is the Main Model Page for mathematical modelling using LPL. Each link below gives you access to a list of models formulated in the modelling language LPL and they can all be solved directly through the Internet. It consists of a rich list of more than 400 models. Many of them come with a complete description and modeling text compiled in PDF together with exercises and ready-to-learn modeling explanations. The compiled text of all models is much over 1'000 pages -- quite a large book. The complete PDF documentation of all the models has been generated using LPL's own automatic documentation tool together with the MikTex distribution of LaTex.

The material has mainly be compiled in order to teach mathematical modeling in Operations Research courses. However, many examples are simple enough to treat them in high school.

About 30 Tutorial Examples to learn some basics of the LPL modeling language. It begins with a small production model from OR.
Various Models from different sources are presented here. They range from very simple to difficult.
All model examples are from the modelling book: "Hürlimann T., Mathematical Modelling of Puzzles and Games, 2007". The book is available at Lulu.
All model examples are from the modelling book: ."Guéret Ch., Prins Ch., Sevaux, M., Programmation linéaire, Eyrolles, 2000". (in French).

All model examples are from the excellent modelling book: "Williams H.P., Model Building in Mathematical Modelling, Wiley, 3rd edition, 1993".

Various small model examples from different OR text books are collected here.
